Gateway introduced the NS, a new series of business laptops with Intel's latest Core processors and a battery life of over 8 hours. Availability is slated for mid-July, here's the full PR:
The new generation of the Gateway NS notebook series was designed in order to satisfy SMB needs of reliability, stability, scalability and security. The new Gateway NS10, NS30, NS41 and NS51 were developed to deliver the best in class product hardware with no-compromise performance, superior security and trouble-free manageability, while offering extended productivity thanks to 8+ of battery life.
Available in four formats: 29.5 cm (11.6"), 34.5 cm (13.3"), 35.5 (14") and 39.6 cm (15.6"), the new Gateway NS notebook series takes advantage of the latest ultra-fast Intel® CoreTM i7, i5 and i3 Mobile CPU's with Mobile Intel® HM55 Express Chipset, capable of combining top performance with energy efficiency, thanks to Intel® TurboBoost technology, that dynamically increases the processor speed when applications demand more performance, while continuing to operate within the power, current and temperature specifications. Together with the Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology, the Intel® TurboBoost technology helps to increase performance of both multi-threaded and single-threaded workloads without the need of user-intervention. The Video Conference solution, including the high-def webcam and built-in microphone enables high-quality video conferences so that you can easily keep in touch with your business life.
For maximum versatility, the optional port replicator provides a full range of connectivity options such as Ethernet, VGA and USB port for seamless desk management, plus microphone and speaker jacks and a Kensington Lock.
In line with Gateway efforts to develop devices with lower environmental impact, the NS series meets the requirements of the most important international standards for low energy consumption such as ENERGY STAR®, EPEATTM, RoHS and WEEE.
All Gateway notebooks come with 1-year Return-to-Base and 3-year Spare Part warranties. The warranty can be extended to 3 years or more. Customers have the right to pick-up and replacement of defective or malfunctioning products with an equivalent product for the entire warranty period. The Gateway Plus offering extends the high-quality warranty, door-to-door pick-up and return service for Gateway notebooks up to 5 years.
The NS notebooks will be available mid July from specialised resellers with pricing to be confirmed.
