Acer plans 7 and 10-inch tablets for Q4 2010

DigiTimes heard Acer will launch 7-inch and 10-inch tablets in the final quarter of this year, both models will use the ARM architecture and Google's Android operating system.
Acer will launch a 7-inch and a 10-inch tablet PC in the fourth quarter, both based on the ARM architecture and Android, according to sources from notebook players. Acer is talking with mobile telecom carriers for cooperation to market the two models, the sources added.

Unlike the company's 6-inch gray-scale and 7-inch color e-book readers, the tablet PCs will integrate multimedia entertainment capabilities and feature support for Adobe Flash with Android 2.2.
