Intel opens Atom and MeeGo R&D center in China

DigiTimes reports Intel has established a new R&D center in China to develop applications for Atom devices with MeeGo:
Intel has established an R&D center in Shenzhen, China mainly focusing on the MeeGo operating system and Atom processor, according to sources from PC players.

The center will cooperate with 100 of the company's embedded product partners to develop about 1,000 types of Atom-and-MeeGo combination-based applications including handheld devices, tablet PCs and car electronics in the next three years, the sources noted.
