Hitachi demonstrates Minority Report like interface

Engadget reports a new gesture-based interface from Hitachi looks a lot like the futuristic computer interface from Minority Report:
While complete details are a bit light, the system does seem to be reasonably responsive, and appears to rely on a projection-based system and a single camera to track movements. Perhaps what's most interesting, however, is that Hitachi eventually sees systems like this being used in everything from digital signage to medical applications -- and, yes, even TVs and desktop computers (though not before mid-2011 at the earliest).
