Thermalright officially introduced the HR-02, a new massive heatsink designed to passively cool even the hottest Intel LGA775/1156/1366 processors. The HR-02 heatsink features a nickel-plated copper base, six 6mm sintered heatpipes and a massive aluminium heatsink with punched holes to increase the dissipating area. The heatsink measures 110mm x 140mm x 160mm (L x W x H) and weighs 860g, the company includes Chill Factor III thermal paste and the box will also contain clips for 120mm and 140mm fans in case you don't mind some noise.

The Thermalright HR-02 is expected to be available by the end of the month for around 59.90EUR. The heatsink only comes with mounting material for Intel CPUs, AMD users will have to spend extra money on the HR-02 AM2 BTK.
Since the release of Intel’s Core i7 series CPU, we see the appearance of many huge coolers appearing in the market, It’s all because TDP of Core i7 could reach around 130W, it gets even hotter if you attempt to overclock it by adding more voltage, This is something that we are all afraid of, there are mainly two reasons that many enthusiasts choose to change their existing cooler, first of all, to be able to overclock, second, for more quietness.

There are existence of many monstrous coolers in the market, but is there any cooler that could really handle the hot core i7 without any fan? We can tell you right now, with HR-02, it’s possible!, but if you wish to add more voltage, you may choose to adding fans, or without fans depending on the Voltage you choose to use, with fan, HR-02 is good as the Venomous X, through different setup of the system fans inside your case, it is even possible that it could exceed the Venomous X.

HR-02 has patented fins with punched holes, through the punched holes, it could increase the dissipating area of up to 25~30%, Making it more thermal efficient under passive cooling or with a low rpm fan (600~800rpm), another noticeable change you will see on the HR-02, Is that we have designed the fins to be very close to the system fan, so even without any fan, it could easily cool with the fans inside your case, If you choose to add one fan , then it would have the push-pull effect just like the other coolers with 2 fans.

HR-02 provide you with the compatibility options of 12cm or 14cm fan, you may choose the best suited options depending on your system fan setup, New pressure-Vault system kit is also included, and it can support Socket1366/1156/775 platform.

You might have doubt about the space you need for HR-02, we have tuned it in every angle and making adjustments for HR-02 to be compatible with many motherboards, beside some unique AM3 motherboards, HR-02 is compatible with most boards in the market (85%), or you could check out our compatibility list, to see if it would be ok.

Besides overclocking, want to run your system passively or with a ultra quiet fan? HR-02 is the best choice for you!

Features:
1.Patented multiple support pressure vault bracket system, allow users adding pressure to the bracket system (40~70 lbs.), and have a more efficient and secure mounting.(1366/1156/775).

2.Fanless design for low-noise operation

3.Proprietary through holes on fins for efficient ventilation

4.Heatsink are all nickel plated to ensure the best quality and performance and could last for years.

5.Soldered heatpipes, copper base and fins, to ensure the best thermal conducting efficiency.

6.Six sintered heatpipe design, all heatpipes are nickel plated. To slow the oxidation deterioration to the heatpipe, to ensure longer usage and performance of the heatsink for the cpu.

7.Including 120*25mm fan clips & 140*25mm fan clips and Chill factor III thermal paste.

8.Convex copper base design, to ensure the Highest thermal conducting thermal efficiency between the cpu and the heatsink.
