Expreview published some benchmark results of the leaked GeForce GTX 480 sample with 512 shader processors. Here's a brief overview of the results:
Under the Extreme mode with 3DMark Vantage, 512SP GTX 480 got a GPU score of 10072 while the 480SP version scored at 9521, showing a slight performance difference.

According to the Feature Test 1, 512SP delivers better texture fill performance of 41.55 GTEXELS/S, compared to 38.82 GTEXELS/S on the 480SP-equipped model.

Under the enthusiast mode with Crysis Warhead (1920×1200, 8xAA on), the 512SP GTX 480 runs at 34.72fps, while the 480SP model at 32.96fps.
It's unknown if the 512SP GeForce GTX 480 will see broad availability, it's possible that this chip will only be used as a limited edition prestige model for one or more AIBs.
