D-Link presents the DIR-652, a new wireless n gigabit router that will start shipping in September for 79EUR.
SUPERIOR HOME NETWORKING
Connect the DIR-652 Wireless N Gigabit Home Router to a DSL/cable modem to share your high-speed Internet access with multiple computers, game consoles, and multimedia devices throughout your home or office. The DIR-652 is an 802.11n compliant device which delivers speeds up to 14x faster and coverage up to 6x wider than 802.11g while maintaining backwards compatibility with 802.11g and 802.11b devices. Equipped with two external antennas, this router provides superior wireless coverage for larger homes and offices, and is ideal for users running bandwidth-intensive applications. The DIR-652 also includes a 4-port 10/100/1000 Gigabit switch that connects Gigabit wired devices for lag-free network gaming and faster file transfers.

INTELLIGENT QoS ENGINE
D-Link’s Intelligent QoS Technology analyzes wired and wireless traffic and separates it into multiple data streams. The DIR-652’s embedded WISH Stream Engine improves wireless media by moving time-sensitive tagged traffic to the front of the WMM queue and optimizing RF settings for optimal wireless throughput. WISH (Wireless Intelligent Stream Handling) automatically detects multimedia, VoIP and Online Gaming applications, requiring no configuration by the user. It works transparently with other QoS technologies to immediately improve wireless speeds.

STRAIGHTFORWARD AND RELIABLE SECURITY
The DIR-652 supports the latest wireless security features to prevent unauthorized access to your wireless network. Modern encryption standards such as WEP, WPA and WPA2 ensure that your wireless data will remain safe when transmitted wirelessly. Additionally, this router utilizes dual active firewalls (SPI and NAT) to guard against potential attacks originating from the Internet.
