HP confirmed yesterday during their financial results conference call that a webOS tablet is due early 2011:
Todd Bradley, head of HP's PC division, confirmed to reporters during the call that the fabled tablet device does exist, and will be publicly revealed next year, ending speculation that the company was working on such a device which will run a modified version of webOS, a mobile computing operating system the company acquired earlier this year as part of HP's acquisition of Palm.

"You'll see us with a Microsoft product out in the near future, and a webOS-based product in early 2011," Bradley said during the conference call earlier today, refusing to comment further on the company's plans for the tablet computer.
