DigiTimes heard a couple of luxurious car-branded netbooks will be released in the final quarter of this year. Asustek plans to release a 12.1" Lamborghini netbook named Eee PC VX6 with Intel dual-core Atom processor and NVIDIA ION 2 graphics, while Acer is developing a 11.6" Ferrari netbook based around AMD's Ontario "Fusion" processor.

While netbooks are mainly hailed because they are so cheap, these systems won't be inexpensive though. The pricing of the Acer system is unknown, but the ASUS Eee PC VX6 will cost you $699, which is more than a decent entry-level laptop.

The site also writes that ASUS plans to launch a 15.6" Lamborghini laptop with Intel's latest Core i-series processors, and that Acer will debut an Android-based Liquid E Ferrari phone sometime later this month.
