Gigabyte preps $800 tablet with Atom N550

Gigabyte is getting ready to launch the GA-T1005M, a new 10.1" multi-touch tablet with Intel's new dual-core Atom N550 processor, Windows 7 Home Premium and a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. Other features include 2GB DDR3 memory, integrated GMA 3150 graphics, 320GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Ethernet, 3.5G HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.1, 1.3MP webcam, some USB 2.0 ports, an ExpressCard slot, and a 4-in-1 memory card reader.

The device has a 6-cell battery and is expected to hit retail shelves for around $800.
