DigiTimes reports Acer's new 10.1" Aspire One D255 netbook with Intel's latest dual-core Atom N550 processor will start shipping next week. ASUS is still undecided, and other netbook vendors may wait until October or even November to launch their Atom N550 based systems.
Acer's dual-core netbook, the 10.1-inch Aspire One D255 is already set for launch in the US in early September with Taiwan scheduled for the end of the month at a price below NT$14,000 (US$437.43).

Despite players such as Acer already set up to launch their dual-core netbooks, there are still several other players including Asustek Computer who have not yet decided their launch schedules. Some will wait until October or November to launch their models.
