Cooler Master presents the HAF 912 Plus, a more advanced edition of the HAF 912 model. The exterior of both mid-tower cases looks alike but the HAF 912 Plus is a lot nicer on the inside, with a full-black interior and some other improvements.

This new steel case measures 230mm x 480mm x 496mm and weighs 8.45kg, it supports micro-ATX and ATX motherboards and features 7+1 PCI slots, four exposed 5.25" drive bays (one can be converted to 3.5"), six 3.5" HDD bays, and two 2.5" SSD bays (plus two additional ones via a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter). A front-placed I/O bar features two USB 2.0 ports, eSATA, and audio ports, while cooling is provided by a 200mm red LED front fan (can be swapped for 2x 120mm) and a 120mm rear fan. More cooling can be provided by adding two 120mm or one 200mm top fan and a 120/140mm side fan.

Special features include the ability to rotate the HDD cage by 90-degrees, support for large graphics cards by removing a piece of the modular HDD cage, support for a top mounted dual-120mm rad, pre-drilled holes for watercooling tubes, 16mm width between the side panel and motherboard plus cut-outs for cable management, a cut-out for easy CPU cooler swapping and a backup screw holder next to the 5.25" bays.

The Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus is expected to hit European retail stores by mid-September for 79EUR. Additionally, the firm also introduced a more budget-friendly HAF 912 for $60, but this model is exclusively for North America and Latin America. The regular HAF 912 has a plain grey interior, lacks eSATA, includes tool-free installation for just one 5.25" bay and has two 120mm intake fans instead of one 200mm fan.
Defining the ultimate chassis for gamers is near enough impossible, but the new HAF912 Plus is a no-compromise chassis; finding the right balance between must have features: cost, size, cooling and space. No matter if you are looking for an affordable, no compromise gaming chassis or for a case with all the bells and whistles and great support for water cooling accessories: the HAF 912 is the ultimate model for you.

Room to grow
The HAF 912 Plus offers plenty of space for your drives, six 3.5-inch internal drives and two 2.5-inch drives in its standard configuration. However, one of the 5.25-inch drive bays come pre-fitted with an adapter so it can accept 3.5-inch drives and you also get a 3.5 to 2.5-inch adapter that accepts two more 2.5-inch drives. A section of the 3.5-inch that holds up to four drives can be rotated 90 degrees, or removed to fit graphics card that are longer than 320mm. The bottom mounted 2.5-inch drive cage can also be mounted on top of the bottom half of the 3.5-inch drive cage if more room is needed at the bottom of the case. This modular approach puts you in charge of how to do things and it’s something you won’t find anywhere else.

Keep it tidy
Airflow is important in any computer, but even more so in a gaming PC and the HAF 912 Plus were designed to reduce clutter and allow for better airflow. By adding more space behind the motherboard tray, you have more space to hide extra lengths of cable. Cable management and routing has also been made easy by providing access holes where they’re most needed. Notches has also been added that allows you to attach cable ties to the rear of the motherboard to further help keeping this neat and tidy. Removable dust filters are also pre-fitted to the front of the case as well as the PSU air intake at the bottom.

Stay cool
One of the most important aspects of a gaming chassis is for it to keep your components cool and the HAF 912 Plus doesn’t compromise on cooling. The HAF 912 Plus comes with a front mounted 200mm fan with a cool red LED light, and with a rear 120mm fan installed. There’s also room for a top mounted 200mm and an optional side mounted 120 or 140mm fan. The HAF 912 Plus can also be equipped with water cooling and it has been designed to accept an external, top mounted dual 120mm radiator having three pass-through holes with rubber grommets for the tubing etc.

A model for every budget
The HAF 912 Plus was designed to meet the requirements of those that want something out of the ordinary, yet it was built to be affordable. This doesn’t mean that Cooler Master has compromised on quality, as the HAF is all about quality making this a fantastic choice in terms of features.
