DigiTimes reports Apple may switch from Infineon to Qualcomm chips for its next-gen iPhone. Additionally, Asian sources also indicate that Foxconn will remain the sole manufacturer of the iPhone, as Pegatron failed to win a proportion of the contract orders.
Apple reportedly is dropping Infineon solutions from its iPhone devices in favor of those made by Qualcomm, according to a recent report in the Chinese-language Commercial Times. Apple plans to move the fifth-generation iPhone to Qualcomm chips, the paper claimed.

Infineon has been the baseband chip supplier for Apple's iPhones. The company recently agreed to sell its wireless business to Intel.
