Microsoft to make Longhorn Server for Itanium processors

Microsoft said it will prepare a version of Longhorn Server for Intel's Itanium processors. The Longhorn Server for Itanium processors is expected in 2007, together with the x86 version.
"Our position has not been as clear here as much as it should be," Bob Muglia, senior vice president of the Windows Server Division, said in an interview. "We have a commitment to Xeon, but also very much to Itanium."
