Samsung Electronics America Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, the number one worldwide brand of LCD display products, today announced the new SyncMaster P2770FH monitor which offers an unprecedented 1 ms response time. Let's compare

LG 27"
Pushes the envelope
Super high resolution
10 bit color
Higher contrast than previous IPS panels
LED backlighting (on the Apple model)

Samsung 27"
Gone is PVA - we have wimpy TN
"Improved" color is actually weaker than old PVA color
Weaker resolution 1080 than the 1200 of their prior 27" - absolutely pathetic next to the 2560x1440 of the LG panel
Contrast weaker than the PVA models
Cheap cookie cutter junk that should be so shameful for Samsung to put their name on that they probably have to was their hands after building one.

LG is hungry and wants to improve. Samsung is leaving the market and putting out cheap cookie cutter panels and improving NOTHING over prior year models. Samsung can't even manage displayport. Cheap junk.
