Canon shows off Cross Media Station with inductive charging

TrustedReviews saw a demonstration of Canon's Cross Media Station, a new tabletop prototype that simultaneously downloads data and charges your digital camera just by placing them on top of the device. A retail product may follow within a year or three.

The tabletop box also allows users to share photos and videos to other users, and features facial recognition which scans both video and picture files to recognise the same person in the footage or still image.
