Ubisoft has released a stand-alone benchmark of its upcoming Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X 2 title. Here are some details about the game: "This highly anticipated sequel to Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. lands you in the cockpit of the world's most technologically advanced fighter jet. Become an elite aerial soldier as you complete adrenaline-pumping airborne missions high above the Earth. Will you be able to soar with the best? You will take off into an explosive environment where you are in control of the world's most powerful and technologically advanced aircraft. Pilot these elite aerial machines in intense heart-racing airborne missions."
This benchmark received a lot of heat after AMD asked HD 6800 reviewers to avoid it: "It has come to our attention that you may have received an early build of a benchmark based on the upcoming Ubisoft title H.A.W.X. 2. I'm sure you are fully aware that the timing of this benchmark is not coincidental and is an attempt by our competitor to negatively influence your reviews of the AMD Radeon HD6800 series products. We suggest you do not use this benchmark at present as it has known issues with its implementation of DirectX 11 tessellation and does not serve as a useful indicator of performance for the HD 6800 series.
