Some of the first third-gen Intel X25-M solid state disks have found their way onto Chinese online auction website Taobao. These disks feature 25nm MLC NAND flash memory but the leaked benchmarks are a bit disappointing, although we do not know if these are final production drives. HD Tune screenshots indicate a sequential read speeds of 218.0MB/s and sequential write speeds of 167.4MB/s. The write speed is pretty close to the official spec of 170MB/s but the read speed is far from the promised 250MB/s.

The leaked X25-M G3 SSDs are available in 160/300/600GB capacities with prices ranging from 2,400 yuan to 8,000 yuan, which is around $359 and $1,196 at the current currency exchange rate.
