Sony, Samsung start production of seventh generation LCD panels

The Samsung and Sony joint venture began mass-production of 7th generation LCD panels at its South Korean plant today.
The joint venture also started to supply LCD panel modules both to Sony and Samsung, becoming the first company to begin mass-production and shipment of LCD panels based on the so-called seventh generation glass substrate.
The plans has a capacity to make 60,000 seventh generation LCD panels a month.
