FUD Zilla claims NVIDIA recently received its first 28nm samples from TSMC. The first 28nm GPUs from NVIDIA may hit retail shelves in the second half of next year.
It looks like the core is entry level, but it’s not conclusive and of course it is made in TSMC's High Metal gate 28nm process. We heard the GF1x9 as the codename, but we have to do some more digging.

The production of these actual chips won’t happen before the second half of 2011 but it is impressive to see that they already have some samples.
