LG introduced the X-Note X170, a new 10.1" netbook with the dual-core Intel Atom N550 1.5GHz processor. The system offers 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, SmartPOP and a 6-cell battery. The system will be sold in South Korea first, a model with 1024 x 600 pixel screen will be sold for the equivalent of $566 while a 1366 x 768 pixel version will sell for $602.
This is the very type of netbook that LG has just completed, an X-Note mini notebook dubbed X170 and, as one would expect, powered by the Intel Pine Trail platform. It sticks to the 10.1-inch screen size, the LED-backlit display having a native resolution of either 1,024 x 600 pixels or 1,366 x 768 pixels, depending on user choice.
