For one thing, you wont have to worry about the right drivers for the right printer being installed in every machine that you just want to get a quick printout from. On top of that, it would allow you to send a print request from any part of the world and get a printout. It definitely got the geek in me excited. But then I thought a bit more about it and now, I don’t really think it’s that great of an idea.

Horrible idea. Nice if I can print to my home printer from anywhere, but horrible because of the risks that anyone can and the cost if they do.

Risks outweigh the benefits by a huge amount. Not something I want or most folks will want in their printer. Imagine paying for ink that arises from spam. Or a hacker prints 500 pages on you while you are away. Yeah, not much fun.
