Sun unveils Java Enterprise System 3

Sun Microsystems today launched Java Enterprise System (JES) version 3, with new software like Sun Java System Identity Manager, Sun Java Systems Portal Access, the NI Grid Service Provisioning System and the Sun Java Studio tools portfolio.

JES now offers support for Solaris 10 on SPARC and x86 hardware, and also for HP-UX, Linux, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Sun's Java Enterprise System 3 is available for $140 per employee per year.
