Kingston reveals 8GB and 16GB S100 SSDs for non-PC applications

Kingston presents 8GB and 16GB SSDNow S100 solid state disks for non-PC applications. These disks will be sold for 41EUR and 57EUR, respectively.
Kingston Technology has now added a new line to the SSDNow family of solid state drives, the S100 which targets system integrators and white box builders. This series includes 2.5-inch drives with a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface and a MTBF (mean time before failure) of 1 million hours. The S100 SSDs have TRIM support, a three-year warranty, and come in 8GB and 16GB, delivering maximum read/write speeds of 90/30 MB/s and 230/75 MB/s, respectively.
