Sony said it has planned the launch of its PlayStation Portable (PSP) in Europe on September 1st. European users will be able to buy the PSP Value Pack for 249EUR. This includes the PSP, a 32MB Memory Stick Duo, battery pack, headphone with remote control, ACE adapter, fake-leather wrist wrap, a cloth and a spongy pouch to keep the PSP clean and dry and also a UMD disc with some music/video and game samples.
As with the US launch, a number of early adopters will also receive a UMD copy of the film Spider-Man 2, although this will have to be claimed via the www.yourpsp.com website. In the US, it was bundled with the first million units of the system sold.
