Invectec shipped 60,000 Chrome OS laptops to Google

Inventec revealed it has shipped about 60,000 Chrome OS-based notebooks to Google for the company's pilot program:
Alongside Google's announcement of its new Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system as well as Chrome OS on December 7, Inventec confirmed that it has already shipped about 60,000 Chrome OS-based netbooks to Google, which are expected to be used for testing.

Chrome OS-based products from global PC brand vendors are estimated to appear in channel in the first half of 2011.
