ASUS Eee Slate EP121 to cost $999

ASUS showcased its Eee Slate EP121 at CES 2011. This Windows 7 Home Premium tablet has a 12.1" IPS capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and features the Intel Core i5-470UM processor with up to 4GB DDR3 and up to 64GB SSD. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a 2MP webcam with LED flash, Mini-HDMI, MMC/SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card reader and a stereo speaker. The tablet measures 312mm x 207mm x 16.95mm and weighs 1.16kg. The device will be released later this quarter with prices starting around $1,000.
