We all know Apple likes to keep a tight lid on its roadmap and we're also aware of the company's somewhat rocky relationship with Intel. Enthusiasts, however, didn't waste time and have successfully made Snow Leopard purr on the new Sandy Bridge chips rather than wait for Apple to update its Mac lineup with the new processors.

Hackintosh fans over at the TonyMacx86 blog were the first on the block to successfully patch Snow Leopard's kernel. Be warned, however, for the procedure could lead to an unstable performance, they noted...
