Legit Reviews received a demonstration of Kingston's upcoming MobiSX wireless storage device. The product is designed for tablet users, it will enable them to access storage via WiFi. It's expected to be released in Q2 2011 for about $99.
Kingston made it crystal clear that this is a proof of concept device and that the name, appearance and price point could change before it comes to market. We were we able use an Apple iPad to connect to the device where we were able to seamlessly look at files, pictures and and even stream movies to several devices. Yes, you can have up to three devices connected to the MobiSX simultaneously! Kingston is bringing to market 16GB and 32GB versions of the MobiSX and they have priced it to viable storage upgrade path for tablet users that need more storage, but would also like to have more functionality.
