Bright Side of News noticed NVIDIA started taking claims in regarding to the faulty GPU settlement it agreed upon, users affected by this issue can find more details over here.
The settlement does not include laptops from manufacturers like ASUS, MSI, Toshiba or even Sony. While we don't have a full list of manufacturers that used these GPUs, we're sure that a lot of people are still left out of the settlement. The primary reason for this was because the bulk of these chips were sold to HP and Dell and the majority of failures also occurred with them.

Now, the settlement includes the actual owners of laptops with this problem and still does not admit any wrong doing but will still pay for or replace your laptop. The actual claim period begins tomorrow, January 13, and goes through March 14 so you need to get on that as soon as possible. The list of affected models is primarily computers made between 2005 and 2008 with a few exceptions. There are also some Apple Macbook Pros affected in this class action settlement as well.
