MSI has released Twin Frozr II editions of the GeForce GTX 570 and GeForce GTX 580 graphics cards. This custom-cooler has several heatpipes, an aluminium fin array and two 80mm fans, it promises 20°C lower temperatures (64°C vs 84°C on the GeForce GTX 570) and 8dBA less noise (28.1dBA vs 36.5dBA) than the reference cooler.

The N580GTX Twin Frozr II/OC has a 823MHz core, 1645MHz shaders and 1536MB GDDR5 clocked at 4276MHz, while the N570GTX Twin Frozr II/OC has a 786MHz core, 1572MHz shaders and 1280MB GDDR5 clocked at 4200MHz. Both cards have Mini HDMI and dual-DVI outputs, but no DisplayPort.
Globally-renowned graphics card and mainboard manufacturer MSI today officially unveiled its N500 series of graphics card featuring the award winning Twin Frozr II Thermal Design. The Twin Frozr II Thermal Design has garnered unanimous praise from professional media and end-users for providing the best balance between cooling performance and lowest sound levels. With the Twin Frozr II cooler, the noise levels of other designs is lowered by up to 8.4dB. More importantly, operating temperatures are reduced by up to 20°C compared to other solutions. Thanks to MSI Afterburner, unsurpassed speeds can be attained in which the combined features of the excellent Twin Frozr II Thermal Design and MSI’s N580GTX and N570GTX graphics cards.

MSI Exclusive Twin Frozr II Cooling Design
The MSI N500 Twin Frozr II series graphics cards feature the advanced Twin Frozr II Thermal Design. To decrease operating temperatures by up to 20°C, MSI has integrated it’s engineering expertise to create the ultimate Thermal Design. The GPU area is covered with a large surface area heat sink with a copper base, ensuring the best possible contact surface with the GPU. Surrounding components like Memory and PWM components are covered by a large unibody heat sink mold. With heat pipes with MSI’s SuperPipe technology, excess heat is transferred quickly to a high density Aluminium cooling fin grid. The low-noise fan setup, which includes two 8cm fans are temperature controlled PWM fans, ensuring excellent air flow to all parts of the Twin Frozr II Thermal Design while reducing sound levels up to 8.4dB.

MSI’s Exclusive Afterburner Overclocking Utility
MSI’s exclusive Afterburner Overclocking utility allows for flexible overclocking and monitoring options. MSI Afterburner allows for instant adjustment of the GPU Frequency and GPU voltages, thanks to its unique Ultra-Voltage function, a combination that allows for more headroom for overclocking. The advanced fan control function allows end-user control of fan speeds to ensure stability when required or low noise when needed. By storing up to five different fan profiles, users can quickly switch between their profiles to match any situation. MSI Afterburner also displays a wealth of information about the card like real-time temperatures, speeds, voltages, load levels, allowing users excellent supervision over their card while benchmark for ultimate stability with MSI Kombustor.

MSI Quality: All Solid Capacitors
To ensure the best stability and lifespan, MSI only uses the best components like Solid Capacitors on the N500 Twin Frozr II series graphics cards. With their lifespan of over 12 years under heavy load, Solid Capacitors are made to last a graphics cards’ lifetime. Their excellent characteristics, like lowered Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR), ensure a higher efficiency and lower operating temperatures, all benefiting the best possible user experience.
