DigiTimes reports Acer has refuted rumors that it will exit the netbook market. The company claims netbooks will continue to play an important role in its product portfolio.
In fact, Acer has already prepared to launch a new model in the near future and a promotional poster about the model was recently posted at the display center at the company's headquarters.

Acer chairman JT Wang also said previously that netbooks are an important product for emerging markets despite that Apple's iPad is impacting sales in specific markets such as the UK and the US; therefore, Acer will not give up such an important market.
