uploaded a video clip of today's presentation of a new universal phone charger by Antonio Tajani, the European commissioner for industry and entrepreneurship. This new standard is based on Micro-USB and will be adopted by most phone makers.
After a nudge from the European Commission last year, a host of companies have come up with a charger to fit all brands.
A sample of the standardised device aimed at improving consumer convenience was presented to the EU Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship Antonio Tajani, in Brussels.
