Turkish tech site Donanim Haber has another scoop, this time the website has leaked over a dozen marketing slides of AMD's Radeon HD 6990 dual-GPU card. The information reveals the Radeon HD 6990 offers 3072 VLIW4 shader processors, 256-bit memory bus, 830MHz core and 4GB GDDR5 clocked at 5000MHz. The card uses two 8-pin PCIe power connectors and has a power consumption of "under 375W". Raw computing power is 5.1 teraFLOPS in single-precision and 1.27 teraFLOPS when processing double-precision data.

Interestingly, the Radeon HD 6990 will feature a dual-BIOS siwtch. The regular position uses the stock clockspeeds and 1.12V voltage while the other position is a hardware overdrive option that increases the core clockspeed to 880MHz and the voltage to 1.175V. Be aware though that this feature is not covered by AMD's product warranty policy.

The card is designed to handle up to 450W to give you some overclocking headroom.

You can check out the other slides over here, there are some performance slides as well but keep in mind that these were created by AMD's marketing department. According to AMD, the overclocked BIOS on the Radeon HD 6990 will give you a 67 percent performance boost over NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 580.
