Anonymous supply chain sources told DigiTimes that Apple plans to sell 6-6.5 million iPad tablets in Q1 2011:
Apple internally plans to take deliveries of 6-6.5 million iPads, including iPad 2, in the first quarter of 2011 and aims at a total shipment volume of 40 million iPads for 2011, according to sources from the supply chain. 300,000-400,000 units of iPad 2 will be turned out in the initial batch, the sources pointed out.

The sources noted that Apple ordered about 1.7-2 million iPads each month in January and February and order volumes, including iPad 2, in March are expected to rise to over two million units.
