ASUS ships Sandy Bridge based K73 laptop

ASUS announced the K73, a new budget laptop with Intel's Huron River platform and a colored aluminium enclosure with textured finish that represents "different moods and mindsets".

The system offers a 17.3" LED-backlit LCD screen with 1600 x 900 pixel resolution, the Intel Core i3 2310M, Core i5 2410M or Core i7 2630QM, up to 8GB DDR3, integrated Intel graphics or the NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M 1GB, a DVD burner or Blu-ray drive, up to 750GB HDD (5400/7200RPM), an extra-wide chiclet keyboard with dust-repelling keys, a multi-touch trackpad, 0.3MP webcam, a 3-in-1 memory card reader, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, Altec Lansing speakers, HDMI, and a 6-cell 5200mAh battery.

The operating system is Windows 7 (Home Basic/Premium, Professional or Ultimate), and pricing starts at just 500EUR.
