NVIDIA ships $149 GeForce GTX 550 Ti

NVIDIA rolls out a new $149 mainstream graphics card. The GeForce GTX 550 Ti features the GF116 GPU with 192 CUDA cores, it offers a 900MHz GPU clockspeed, 1800MHz shaders and 1GB GDDR5 memory clocked at 4100MHz. Power consumption is up to 116W, the card is 8.25" long and the reference model includes two dual link DVI-I ports and Mini-HDMI.

According to NVIDIA, the GeForce GTX 550 Ti delivers a 28 percent performance increase over the GeForce GTS 450.
