Intel X79 set for Q4 2011

DigiTimes reports Intel plans to launch the 22nm Ivy Bridge processor and X79 chipset in Q4 2011, while the rest of the 7-series chipsets are expected to follow in January 2012.
In additional news, Intel has also notified its motherboard partners about its next-generation 7 series chipset, with the 22nm Ivy Bridge-based X79 chipset to be ready for the fourth quarter of 2011 and the rest of the 7 series set for January 2012.
