X-bit Labs noticed Nintendo has quietly adjusted the suggested retail price of its Wii console to $169.99, a drop of $30.
Several partners of Nintendo have decreased pricing of Wii game consoles in the U.S. The decision will help to popularize the aging system going forward in general as well as during Summer season in particular.

A number of leading retailers and retailers in the USA - including Amazon, Best Buy, Target and others - now sell Nintendo Wii game consoles for $169.99, down from $199 earlier. The last time the companies sold Wii systems at such price points was on Black Friday last November, but at this time it looks like the discount price is here to last.
