AMD interim CEO Thomas Seifert
revealed yesterday that his company is actively interviewing candidates for its CEO position:
Advanced Micro Devices said that the search for its new chief executive officer continues and claims that there is interest from various candidates. However, the company did not outline whether it will assign its new CEO by the end of the second quarter.
"I would like to make a brief comment on the state of the CEO search at AMD. The board of directors is very happy with the interest we have received and is actively interviewing candidates. We are pleased with our progress to date," said Thomas Seifert, chief financial officer at AMD and the interim chief executive officer, during a recent conference call with financial analysts.
