Maingear reveals Z68 gaming rigs

Posted on Wednesday, May 11 2011 @ 20:23:12 CEST by

Maingear announced its Z68 based systems:
MAINGEAR, an award-winning custom PC system builder offering custom desktops, custom notebooks, workstations and media centers, updates their desktop configuration with the new Intel® Z68 Express Chipset that improves system performance and responsiveness.

The Intel® Z68 chipset compared to the previous P67/H67 chipset offers SSD caching, which lets users use a SSD that will speed up HDD access with Intel’s Smart Response solution. This outperforms HDD-only systems by more than 60% (PC Mark Vantage) and offers an SSD-like system performance with HDD capacity. This updated chipset also offers intelligent real time benefits over HDD performance as well as scale across all HDD capabilities from all vendors. There is an easy user interface to enable and disable Intel Rapid Storage drivers and requires no special connectors or firmware.

MAINGEAR will offer this updated chipset across their desktop lineup to give you more control of your performance experience. With options of the latest graphics from NVIDIA® in up to 3-way SLI configurations or AMD Radeon in CrossFire mode, all packaged in sleek designed chassis options, MAINGEAR offers the latest in PC technology for the best user experience.

“The new Intel® Z68 chipset is a great update to the sandybridge platform,” said Wallace Santos, CEO and founder of MAINGEAR. “Offering this update for our customers using this chipset is not only more affordable than getting a hybrid SSD mechanical HHD, it also provides faster HDD performance.”
