The Intel® Z68 chipset compared to the previous P67/H67 chipset offers SSD caching, which lets users use a SSD that will speed up HDD access with Intel’s Smart Response solution. This outperforms HDD-only systems by more than 60% (PC Mark Vantage) and offers an SSD-like system performance with HDD capacity. This updated chipset also offers intelligent real time benefits over HDD performance as well as scale across all HDD capabilities from all vendors. There is an easy user interface to enable and disable Intel Rapid Storage drivers and requires no special connectors or firmware.
