WASP Drone Plane Sniffs WiFi and Intercept Phone Calls

The WASP or "Wireless Aerial Surveillance Platform" is a $6,000 radio controlled and autonomous flying hobby plane with a digital command station onboard. The WASP's onboard electronics allow it to spoof a GSM cell phone tower, intercept phone calls, sniff packets on WiFi networks and even crack the encryption with its 340 million word dictionary. WASP was on display this week at the Black Hat 2011 conference in Las Vegas. The WASP system was built by Mike Tassey and Richard Perkins as concept that could actually become very useful for military needs.
