AMD Athlon 64 X2 to debut on June 7

The Inquirer writes that AMD's Athlon 64 X2 processor will become available as from June 7.

The Athlon 64 X2 is the dual-core counterpart of the Athlon 64 processor and four different versions are ready for launch:
  • AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ - 2.2GHz, Socket 939 with 512K of L2 cache
  • AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ - 2.2GHz with 1MB of L2 cache
  • AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ - 2.4GHz with 512K of L2 cache
  • AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ - 2.4GHz with 1MB of L2 cache.
