European PC market to see price cuts

DigiTimes reports European consumers can expect another round of PC price cuts:
Europe is expected to experience another wave of PC price cuts after the price war triggered by Acer's inventory digestion earlier in the year, as Acer's former-CEO Gianfranco Lanci has joined Lenovo as a consultant and is expected to assist Lenovo in expanding its market share in Europe, according to sources from PC players.

Since Lanci's strategy for the PC market was to mainly focus on gaining market share when he was employed by Acer, if Lanci uses the same strategy to manage Lenovo's business in Europe, the market is expected to experience a new price war in the near future.
