Arctic Cooling presents the Alpine 11 Plus, a new very low budget cooling solution compatible with Intel's socket 1155, 1156 and 775. The cooler is made entirely out of aluminium and has a 92mm PWM fan that spins at 600 - 200RPM with a noise level of "0.4 Sone".

The company claims this cooler (at 2000RPM) will keep Intel's Core i5-2300 at 49.1°C, versus 54°C with the stock cooler (at 3000RPM). The main benefit is the lower noise level, Arctic claims the Alpine 11 Plus has a noise level of 0.4 Sone, while the Intel stock cooler is rated at 2 Sone.

The cooler measures 98mm x 95mm x 70mm (L x W x H) and weighs 450g. Pricing is $14.95 (10.94EUR, excl. VAT).
The Alpine 11 PLUS provides a perfect cooling solution with its optimized heatsink to dissipate heat from the CPU. Its high performance 92mm PWM-controlled fan operates at a fan speed range of 600 to 2000 RPM -- reaching a maximum cooling capacity of 100 Watts. With a noise level of only 0.4 Sone even at full load, you can hardly hear any sound from this cooler. Furthermore, it comes with a pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound and a transport-proof push-pin mounting system for quick installation and maximum user-friendliness.

This new CPU cooler is simply what power users are looking for when it comes to having sufficient cooling at the lowest noise level at an affordable price. This cooler is compatible with Intel Sockets 1155, 1156 and 775. Not that you will ever need it, this cooler does come with a six-year limited warranty with an MSRP at 14.95 USD/ 10.94 EUR, excl. VAT.

I'd say it's cooler is the best replacement for the standard cooler from Intel. Cooler Intel began to buzz, so have changed (settings are similar, power connector the same - CPU_FAN) can't hear how it works, very quiet. A simple but tasteful. Yet never regretted
