Windows 8 launch in August 2012?

X-bit Labs writes new rumors indicate Microsoft may be planning to launch Windows 8 in August 2012:
Microsoft Corp. will commercially launch its next-generation Windows 8 operating system in August, 2012. The software giant is in hurry to release its new OS as it needs to quickly address the booming market of media tablets and other ultra-portable devices. As a result, Microsoft will quickly update its new OS to improve feature-set and will unveil Windows 9 in late 2014.

The roll-out of Windows 8 for the general public will begin at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 when Microsoft introduces Windows 8 beta, WinStore beta as well as online market community technology preview (CTP), according to a roadmap of Microsoft published by MS nerd blog. The release candidate of Windows 8 will be unveiled at Mix 2012 in April and the world's largest software designer will release its next-gen OS to manufacturing in June. In August Microsoft will launch Windows 8, online market , Windows Phone 8 and Xbox Store.
