Red Hat is going to make its Fedora community Linux project freely available to the community. In order to manage the Fedora Project, Red Hat will create the Fedora Foundation.

The copyright ownership of contributed code and development work will move to the Foundation. But Red Hat will continue to give engineering and financial support to the project.

Fedora is intended to be a hobbyist Linux distribution with a lots faster release cycle and support for the latest open source technologies. More details InternetNews
