NVIDIA developing SLI 2 technology

VR-Zone learned at Computex that NVIDIA is preparing SLI 2, a new dual-graphics card technology that will feature twice the number of PCI Express lanes than current nForce 4 chipsets. This would be like combining two nForce 4 MCPs together to offer 32 PCI Express lanes instead of only 16.

They also heard a motherboard manufacturer is preparing an nForce 4 motherboard with two nForce 4 chipsets to give consumers two PCI Express x16 slots that run at full 16 PCIe lanes. It will arrive next year before NVIDIA will unveil its SLI 2 technology.
