Web analytics firm StatCounter claims Google Chrome's marketshare has surpassed Mozilla's Firefox browser in November 2011. Chrome recorded a global marketshare of 25.7 percent last month, while Firefox stranded at 25.23 percent. Microsoft's Internet Explorer is still the leader with a global marketshare of 40.63 percent.
StatCounter says its statistics are based on aggregate data collected on a sample exceeding 15 billion page views per month (4 billion from the US) from a network of 3 million+ websites.
