NVIDIA and Foxconn set up cloud computing R&D center

DigiTimes received word that Foxconn and NVIDIA are setting up a joint-venture R&D center in China to develop mobile terminal devices and cloud computing-based applications.
Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) and Nvidia, under coordination with the Tianjin City Government in northern China, signed for establishing a joint venture R&D center specifically for mobile terminal devices and cloud computing-based applications on December 16.

Foxconn chairman Terry Guo and Nvidia CEO Huang Jen-hsun were present at the signing ceremony, but due to their confidentiality agreement, no further information was released.
